Cacious is an Investment Professional with more than 18 years of experience in Investment Management (public and private markets) and is currently working as a Manager of Investment Services at the GIPF.
Cacious serves as the Chairperson of the (NIDIF) Investors Advisory Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from UNAM, and an MBA from the University of Cape Town specializing in Finance, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship.
Cacious was an MBA Exchange Student at the Israel Institute of Technology; and studied Innovation, Culture, and Entrepreneurship. Cacious has a passion for private equity and entrepreneurship.

Investor Advisory Committee Member Hermann is a Senior Credit Manager at RMB Namibia. He has 20+ years of experience as a finance professional having worked in the financial departments of prominent companies such as Nedbank Namibia and Namibia Breweries. He holds a BCom (Hons) from the University of Stellenbosch and an MSc from Leeds University. Hermann has served on many boards such as the O&L Pension Fund Board of Trustees, FirstRand Namibia Pension Fund Board of Trustees, and the Euphrates Fund’s Investor Advisory Committee. He is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

Dorian has over 19 years of working experience in the Retirement Funds sector which includes consulting, actuarial, and executive management, and 3 years of working experience in a banking asset liability management division. Dorian is a holder of various degrees.
He holds an MBA with a specialisation in Strategic Planning from Herriot Watt University and Edinburgh Business School, a B. Com (Hons) in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management from the University of Cape Town, and a B. Economics from the University of Namibia. He also completed a program in Retirement Funding at UNISA.

Honourable Philippus Wido Katamelo is a Namibian public representative with experience in local government, national governance, corporate management and institutional oversight. He has served as a Constituency Councillor and Member of Parliament and held leadership roles as Chairperson of the Audit Standing Committee and Chairperson of the Urban and Rural Development Committee. In these roles he led public hearing processes, supported the adoption of good governance frameworks in the National and Regional Councils and worked to strengthen leadership and critical reflection among Members of Parliament and council staff. He has also maintained constructive relationships with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development and other strategic partners, in support of effective oversight and service delivery.
Before his full-time political career, Honourable Katamelo gained operational management experience at Telecom Namibia, where he was responsible for the 062-profit centre. He managed the roll out of wireless technology without outsourcing the installation, which helped to deepen technical expertise within the organisation, and ensured that daily operations were conducted efficiently within approved financial limits and accepted standards. His governance experience includes serving as a trustee and vice chairperson of the NAPOTEL Pension Fund, acting as its chairperson in 2009, serving as a trustee of the Political Office Bearers Pension Fund and as a member of the tender board of the Gobabis Municipality.
Honourable Katamelo holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Namibia, a qualification in Electrical Engineering from the Cape Penesula University of Technology and has completed the Management Development Programme at Stellenbosch University. This combination of education and experience underpins his contribution to public policy, institutional oversight and socio-economic development in Namibia.

Sam has experience in private equity, investment banking, and strategy consulting. Prior to joining Gateway, he worked at Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), involved in execution, portfolio management and origination of PE transactions across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Before ECP he was in Rand Merchant Bank’s Corporate Finance team executing M&A and equity capital market transactions for private equity and mining clients. Sam started his career at Bain & Company working on private equity due diligence and strategy cases for international clients.
He has an MBA from the University of Oxford’s Said Business School (selected as the Oxford Dean’s Scholar) and a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance (Hons) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Nigel Purse, who has an MA from Oxford University and an MBA from City University, London, has over 30 years of experience in executing project finance lending, advisory and investment mandates in 5 continents and 20 different countries on a wide range of sectors such as energy, roads, railways, airports, accommodation, Public Private Partnerships and telecoms. Nigel has completed over 100 different project finance mandates which represent a total financing in excess of €50 billion.
Nigel used to work for the world’s largest toll road operator, Autostrade, and formerly led the transport project finance team at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He was the Head of Project Finance and Executive Board Member at Espirito Santo Investment (now Haitong) and sat on the investment committees of two infrastructure funds, the Espirito Santo Infrastructure Fund and the Fondo PPP Italia, and was a founder Director of Tagus Infrastructure Assets, the manager of a UK secondary market PPP fund.
He went on to be a Founding Partner of Eaglestone, the African advisory and principal investment business. Latterly, Nigel was a founder of Climate Fund Managers which manages the Climate Investor One and Two climate impact funds.

Selma Shalauda is a finance professional who serves as a Fund Accountant at the Government Institutions Pension Fund.
She brings more than sixteen years of experience across the financial sector, including roles in fund accounting, management accounting, treasury, markets and banking operations. Before joining the Government Institutions Pension Fund she worked as a Management Accountant at Letshego Bank Namibia, a Money Market Team Leader at RMB Namibia, a Trade Dealer and Acting Treasury Middle Office Manager at SME Bank. These roles allowed her to develop strong capability in liquidity and cash management, asset and liability management, investment operations and regulatory reporting.
Academically, Selma holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree with Honours from the University of Namibia. She has enhanced her professional profile through additional training with the University of Cape Town where she obtained a Certificate in Basics of Financial Management.
